And When The Sky Was Opened
Episode 11, December 11, 1959
A three –man space craft returns from it's first trip in space. Although it seems to have been a successful trip, something isn’t quite right, and only one person knows what it is. Features a character with the wonderful name Clegg. There's one to call your kids. "Hey, Clegg! Come inside, take off your clogs and have some Kelloggs!" Imagine the nicknames…Cleggy, Eggy, Sme…well, you know what I mean…

In His Image
Episode 103, January 3, 1963
Your normal pants-wearing-kinda-guy joe-schmo (…Come off it! We know no-one is normal in The Twilight Zone!) is confused when things just don't seem like they should. His home town appears to have changed dramatically while he's been away, with different buildings, different people and no-one knows what the hell he's babbling about. Oh yeah, and those weird 1950's special effects noises he hears in his head make him want to kill a lot. Who or what is causing it, and what exactly is his problem?

The Last Night Of A Jockey
Episode 125, October 25, 1963
Mickey Rooney is a short-arse jockey who has been banned from the racetrack for cheating. Without a friend in the world, being a jockey his only ability and having a bit of "small-man syndrome to contend with, he's given the chance to be what he really wants to be…(bet you can’t guess what it is…go on, I dares ya!)

Fairly reasonable results here, as usual with these dvds. The standout would be “In His Image”, which has a good detailed filmy look with nice tones and balance through the image. “The Last Night Of A Jockey”, made later the same year, is similar in quality. All of the episodes generally look relatively clean with only minor blemishes on the prints and nothing else that warrants any real criticism.

  Audio
Contract

Mixed bag of sound on this release. Throughout this series of dvds, you'll have come to expect some limitations in the audio (and hopefully like me you'll overlook them). “And When The Sky Was Opened” has a bit more background hiss than usual, particularly compared to the other two episodes on this disc. The next episode, “In His Image”, sounds much better with hardly noticeable background noise in comparison. This was filmed about 3 years later and shows the difference over the years.

Generally fine sound overall, with clear dialogue and nothing which will tax your system, easy enough to listen to through an amplifier/receiver or just your television set.

Reviews
An in-disc review of the episodes contained on the dvd. Actual reviews are good and always reveals interesting info about the people involved. Don’t read these first if you don’t want plot clues given away.

  Overall
Contract

With the inclusion of “In His Image”, which was the first of the hour long episodes toyed with towards the end of the series run, and generally three very good consistent dramatic episodes on this dvd, I think it is stronger than the previous two TZ discs. Some good dramatic work from Rod Taylor and especially Mickey Rooney in solo mode in interesting tales provided a very satisfying 100 minutes entertainment and a worthwhile disc collection.
