Who is The Band you ask? Me too. Prior to reviewing this disc for Warner Vision, I didn't have a clue who this band of 5 facial hair growing guys were but one song they do play is one of my favorites. Shows how much I actually pay attention to who sings the songs.
The song I am talking about is "The Weight" and it's a great song. The other songs on this disc are also great and almost makes me want to go out and buy the album.
Four of the band members, Levon Helm (a funny hillbillyish bloke), Rick Danko, Robbie Robertson and Garth Hudson give insight into the making of this album. The usual scene whereby they sit next to the mixing station is included and really shows the diversity of instruments in their music. Another cool documentary.

Your typical Classic Albums transfer, high quality digital video with low quality film from 1969. A Full frame transfer. It's crisp, it's sharp, it's levels are balanced. No major complaints here.

MPEG Stereo again here. I should really review all the Classic Albums at once as they basically are the same in every aspect. Oh well, it doesn't hurt to write up a quick re-hash of the previous Classic Album review.

Once again, if you're a fan of the Band then you should take a look at this disc.
