Steel (Episode 122)
Lee Marvin is a boxer is a world where human boxing has been outlawed. Now, all the fighting is done by robots, and Marvin's robot is a clunking heap of crap. He's got a big bout coming and he needs the winnings to pay for desperately needed repairs. Being a bit of a pugilist in his day, he figures he can jump in the ring and no-one would be any wiser, and maybe even win…maybe… A Game of Pool (Episode 70)
Jack Klugman is back again, this time as a poolshark who just knows he could have beat the dead legend played by Johnathon Winters. Well, you know the old saying about being careful what you wish for 'cause you just might get it, in the Twilight Zone that's doubly true. What he learns is that sometimes it's good NOT to be king… Walking Distance (Episode 5)
Every now and then, we all wish we could go back to a time when life was simpler and less hectic. The modern world, with all the responsibilities of a career and just trying making it out alive at the end of the day with a buck in a your hand can turn even the strongest person into a shriveling wreck. Gig Young plays exactly this sort of person, sick of the modern world and given an unexpected chance to go back to his happy childhood home once more. That's if they'll have him there… Kick the Can (Episode 86)
The residents of a retirement home have pretty much given up on life. Their lot in life is to sit around all day doing nothing, resigned to being old, frail and forgotten by family. But one resident isn't going to sit around and waste away. The way he sees it, and tries to convince the others, you can play "kick the can" or "kick the bucket".

Although I'm a little repetitive (okay, very repetitive) in my descriptions of the general transfer qualities of this series, I believe this really should be taken as a testament to the consistently high quality of the transfer for a show made for television over 40 years ago. To be able to say time after time that I find the quality of the audio and video to be as good as they are is a real treat considering how many volumes I've reviewed (and how many we've still got to look forward to reviewing). I guess it doesn't take a brain surgeon then to figure out that this volume adheres to this principal of quality and gets the all clear from me. The extra features on the dvd consist of a selection of text based screens for your reading pleasure. They contain a Rod Serling Biography, Season By Season Commentary, History Of The Twilight Zone and Reviews of the individual episodes on the disc. It’s not a particularly extensive package, but there’s some good (if a tad brief) info, with the reviews being quite interesting and a must read from disc to disc for some background on each episode contained on the dvd.
